Massage Therapist

We seek motived individuals to join our growing team! The Wellness Lounge is a premier, integrative and preventative medicine practice located in the heart of Anchorage, Alaska. 

We pride ourselves on luxurious, superior client experience and results. We are looking for Massage Therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate will be warm and engaging, detail oriented, and organized. Working together as a team, our focus is on creating quality care and experience for our clients on their health journey. 

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. As a Massage Therapist you’re proficient in your craft and performing your duties as a Massage Therapist.

  2. You manage and ensure client comfort, uphold safety standards, and address the client’s needs during their experience. 

  3. You collaborate with client’s to create a plan of care and diligently follow through partnering with them for their desired goals and outcomes for their care.

  4. You are able to multitask and have a strong attention to detail to accurately detect client needs and document client care. 

  5. You keep detailed history of client care for the team of Massage Therapists and benefit of our clients.

  6. Maintain a clean working space.

  7. As a liaison for The Wellness Lounge, you advocate for our client’s highest quality of care, inform the team of the client’s response to treatment, diligently follow up on client care, and assigned tasks.

  8. Use strong product knowledge and sales acumen, you can educate clients on available services and products at The Wellness Lounge. 

  9. You’re able to engage clients in health conversations, learn and remember their health goals, and discuss appropriate plans of care. 

  10. You strive for growth and additional learning opportunities, you work with your team on special projects, and take on additional assigned tasks as needed. 

  11. You refer clients to other services within The Wellness Lounge as needed and to support the client’s ultimate health outcomes.

  12. You’re part of our Lounge family and we take pride in upholding and continuously improving our culture, procedures, hospitality, and practice standards. 

Qualifications

  1. Current Alaska Massage Therapist License

  2. Preferred 1 year experience

  3. Current CEU’s

  4. Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, via written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  5. Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. 

  6. Possess written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people

  7. Well developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and working within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline

  8. General computer knowledge

  9. Pay Range:-$65+ an hour
